Persian Kittens For Sale

Foster Persian Farm is a state-registered Persian cat breeder specialized in raising purebred Persian kittens. We have owned and raised Persians for more than 7 years. The Persian cat originated in ancient Persia (modern-day Iran) and is one of the oldest and most beloved cat breeds in the world. In their native region, they were prized for their luxurious coats and regal appearance. Today, Persian cats are recognized globally and are classified under the Longhair Breed Group by major cat associations. The Persian is known for its gorgeous, flowing coat and distinctive flat face, which require regular grooming and care.

As calm and affectionate companions, Persian cats are very loving toward their owners and are highly tolerant of gentle children, making them ideal family pets. Persian cats are known for their sweet, quiet, and affectionate nature. Though they are not the most active or athletic breed, their gentle and serene demeanor makes them perfect for families, seniors, or even first-time cat owners—as long as they are ready to meet their grooming and care needs.

The Persian cat is a gentle, laid-back, and loving breed that thrives on human companionship. They get along well with other calm pets in the home but may prefer peaceful surroundings over chaos. Persians are content to lounge in cozy corners, cuddle with their favorite human, and enjoy soft interaction. Their protective, observant nature also makes them highly attuned to their owner’s emotions. Most Persian cats love cuddle time and will happily nap on a lap or beside a loved one. Once a strong bond is formed between a Persian cat and its owner, it becomes a deeply loyal companion that prefers to stay close.

Persians typically live longer than many dog breeds, with an average lifespan of 12–17 years, though some may live even longer with proper care.

We understand that some people have little or no knowledge about the Persian cat breed but may be interested in owning one. Scroll down to learn more about this perfect family companion—and why a Persian kitten might be the ideal addition to your home.

About Persian Cat

The Persian cat’s story stretches back centuries, with origins tracing to ancient Persia (modern-day Iran), where their luxurious coats and regal appearance first captured human admiration. These cats were brought to Europe in the 1600s and quickly became a symbol of elegance and refinement. Over time, selective breeding enhanced their trademark long fur, round faces, and sweet, gentle personalities, making them one of the most beloved and recognizable cat breeds worldwide.

The Persian is a medium to large-sized cat with a stocky, cobby build. Adults typically weigh between 3–7 kilos, with males being slightly larger than females. Their most defining feature is their broad, flat face with a short nose — a look known as “peke-faced” in show lines — along with their large, expressive eyes and flowing, dense coat. There are many variations within the Persian breed, including Doll-Face Persians, who retain a more traditional, less extreme facial structure.

Persian cats are known for their quiet, serene, and affectionate nature. They are incredibly gentle and prefer calm, stable environments where they can form strong bonds with their humans. While they are not as overtly playful as some breeds, Persians enjoy interactive toys, gentle play sessions, and lounging in sunny windows. Their laid-back temperament makes them highly adaptable to indoor living and ideal companions for those seeking a loving but low-key pet.

Despite their aristocratic appearance, Persians are not aloof. They crave companionship and often follow their owners from room to room, seeking out cozy spots nearby. Many Persians are lap cats, content to snuggle for hours, purring softly. Their relaxed, dignified demeanor only adds to their enduring charm and appeal.

Persians typically get along well with other gentle cats and cat-friendly dogs. Early socialization ensures they adapt well to new people and environments, but they generally prefer quieter households where routine and calm are the norm. They thrive on gentle affection and consistent, peaceful companionship.

Their signature coat, one of the longest and most luxurious among all cat breeds, requires regular maintenance. Daily brushing is recommended to prevent tangles and mats, especially for show-quality Persians. While they are moderate shedders, seasonal changes can increase hair loss, making grooming an important ritual that strengthens the bond between cat and owner.

Persian cats can be prone to certain hereditary health issues, including respiratory difficulties due to their flat faces, as well as kidney and heart conditions. Responsible breeding and proactive veterinary care are essential to ensure a healthy life. At Foster Persian Farm, we are dedicated to raising well-socialized, healthy kittens with a focus on ethical breeding practices and overall well-being.

With their affectionate soul, soft voice, and timeless beauty, the Persian cat is truly a treasure among feline companions. Once bonded, they offer unwavering loyalty, warmth, and a quiet, loving presence in the home.

OUR STORY

Thanks for visiting our website!
My name is Christopher Foster, and together with my family, we proudly run Foster Persian Farm. We’ve been passionately breeding this wonderful cat breed since 2015. My wife and I are lifelong animal lovers, and our journey with Persian cats began out of a desire to share the joy and companionship these sweet-natured kittens bring into a home.

Over the years, my knowledge and connection with the Persian breed have only deepened. These cats are incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and have such unique personalities that they continue to teach us something new every day. My love for pets started early—back when I was just 10 years old. That Christmas, my parents gifted me my very first kitten: a Persian I named Milo.

Milo wasn’t just a pet—he was my childhood companion. Through all the ups and downs of growing up, Milo was always by my side. He had a calming presence and seemed to understand me better than anyone. I used to talk to him like he was human, hoping he’d talk back one day. Whether I was happy, sad, or just in need of quiet company, Milo was always there.

Years later, I met my wife in college. We became close friends, and when she met Milo, she fell in love with him instantly. In fact, she begged her parents to get her a Persian cat of her own. Our cats grew up playing together, and our bond as a couple deepened, rooted in our shared love for this amazing breed. Sadly, Milo passed away during our later years in college, but the memories he gave me have stayed with me for life.

After we got married, our love for Persians only grew stronger. That’s when we decided to take our passion a step further and start Foster Persian Farm—a small, family-run cattery focused on raising healthy, well-socialized, and affectionate kittens. Today, we live with our two kids on a peaceful 3-acre property, where our kittens have space to play, explore, and grow into the lovable companions they’re meant to be.

At Foster Persian Farm, we’re committed to helping families find the perfect furry addition to their home. With a lifetime of experience and love for this breed, we can honestly say that Persians are one of the best cats you’ll ever meet—gentle, loyal, and full of character.

We personally raise and care for every kitten with the attention they deserve, ensuring they’re ready to bring joy into the lives of their future families. If you’re looking for a loving, family-friendly kitten with a calm temperament and tons of charm, you’re in the right place.
